FOE – Freedom Of Expression (1998)

Due to their currently being about 14,000 bands that have existed throughout time with the same name as this band and their album,

I found it quite hard to find out anything about them online. My memory is a blur about FOE. I know I saw them but don’t remember much more than that.

This record is what you’d best describe as a metal/rock/funk hybrid.

Deluge – Human Traits

Str8 outta Bunbury, mid 90’s. Couldn’t find a thing about this online apart from some metal archive links.

Recorded, produced and mixed by Russell Collins at Phoenix Media Labs, Bunbury 1996.

It has a kinda metal/rock/backyard party/emubitter/90’s vibe.

Scott Kinsella : Guitar

Glen Boulden : Drums

Jason Fardig : Vocals

Daren Kinkella : Bass

Denzil Maher : Guitar

Hip Mo Toast – Introducing (1999)

I stole this bio :

If you have ever frequented hot jazz night spots in Perth, Western Australia, then you have most certainly found yourself bopping along to the moody and swinging sounds of Perth’s favourite jazz combo, Hip Mo’ Toast.

Boasting a broad repertoire, slick arrangements and joie de vivre,Hip Mo’ Toast are the martini-sipping swingers’ first choice in musical entertainment whether looking for the perfect ambience for an intimate encounter or the infectious voodoo beat of a funky mambo. And let’s not forget they play darn good jazz.

Since their formation in early 1997, Hip Mo’ Toast have played in
restaurants, hotels and concert venues such as the Burswood Casino Theatre,
Perth Entertainment Centre, The Subiaco Hotel, Plantation Estate, the Red Herring, The Red Rock Hotel, Reveley’s, and Phillimore’s.

They have wowed audiences at jazz clubs and lounges such as the Perth Jazz Society, Greenwich, Varga Lounge, the Fly By Night Musicians’ Club and Jazz Fremantle. Hip Mo’ Toast has featured at festivals such as the South Perth Fiesta, Geraldton Seajazz Spectacular, Araluen Botanical Gardens, Perth Swan Festival Club, Fremantle Festival, York Jazz Festival, and with Frank Bennett for the City of Stirling Concert.

Hip Mo’ Toast has brought its special blend of sophistication and with-it-ness to country venues as far afield as the Earl Of Spencer in Albany, Caves House in Yallingup, Leeuwin Estate and Vasse Felix Wineries in Margaret River and has supported Grace Knight, Engelbert Humperdinck, Frank Bennett and Dionne Warwick, to name but a few !
